Aom Wanassanan
One of Thailand's most recognisable figures in hospitality and culture — opening the Kingdom's institutional, commercial and cultural doors for international capital.
Profile
Aom Wanassanan (Wanassanan Krainara) is A.R.M. Management's Partner for Thailand. Few markets reward standing and relationships the way Thailand does — and few people hold them at her level. For three decades she has moved at the centre of the Kingdom's institutional and luxury landscape: first nationally known as one of Thailand's leading supermodels, then as a hospitality executive, entrepreneur and adviser whose network spans government, the country's great hospitality houses, and its cultural establishment. For international clients entering Thailand, she is the partner who ensures they arrive known, introduced, and correctly positioned.
Her institutional grounding is rare: she served as Head of Guest Relations of the Doi Tung Development Project of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation — an institution under Royal Patronage — a role demanding the highest standards of protocol and discretion. In Thailand's hospitality industry she held management roles at Le Méridien Baan Boran and led the rebranding task force at Anantara Golden Triangle (Minor International), building a practice that today spans government liaison, social affairs and protocol, strategic communications, and crisis management.
As an entrepreneur and cultural figure she has created events of national scale — the Chiang Mai Fest and the Thailand International Balloon Festival among them — founded a Phuket-based arts and gastronomy gallery, and serves as founder and Vice President of the Thai International Events and Festivals Trade Association. Her counsel is sought by Thai and international principals alike; her presence signals to Thai counterparties that a venture is serious.
For A.R.M.'s clients, her mandate is market entry and development in the fullest sense: institutional introductions, government liaison and protocol, partnership architecture, and the positioning of foreign ventures — particularly in hospitality, tourism, real estate and lifestyle — within Thailand's commercial and cultural terrain.
Aom holds a postgraduate degree in Leadership and Management in Education from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and works in Thai and English.
