Dr. Mohammed Bashir Badr is A.R.M. Management's Partner for Nigeria — a legal practitioner of more than two decades whose practice spans corporate advisory, commercial negotiations, banking and regulatory matters, and litigation. He leads ARM's work in Africa's largest economy, guiding international clients through the realities of establishing, operating, and transacting in Nigeria.

His practice connects directly to the institutions that matter for capital in Nigeria: his firm serves as external solicitor to the Central Bank of Nigeria, representing the Bank in garnishee proceedings that defend the budgets of federal institutions against enforcement claims by individuals and corporations — prevailing in thirteen of fourteen such mandates to date. Alongside that institutional work he maintains an active corporate and negotiations practice spanning both the public and private sectors, backed by two decades of courtroom experience. That combination — regulatory standing, commercial judgment, and litigation depth — gives ARM's clients an advisor who can structure a transaction, negotiate it, and defend it.

Dr. Badr's relationship with ARM is measured in deals, not years alone: for more than a decade he has worked alongside ARM's founder on Nigerian transactions across sectors — sourcing opportunities, preparing counterparties and documentation, and carrying matters through to completion with a record of complete clarity and correctness on every engagement. Within ARM, that makes him the firm's standing answer to the question every investor asks about Nigeria: who do we trust on the ground?

Alongside practice, Dr. Badr has taught civil and criminal litigation at the Nigeria Police Academy in Kano State since 2013 — a vantage point on Nigerian procedure and enforcement that few commercial advisors hold. He holds a doctorate from Bayero University Kano (2024) and his LL.B. and LL.M. from the University of Ilorin, the latter specialising in Shari'a and Islamic human rights law — grounding a working command of the Islamic banking system that serves ARM's clients structuring between Nigeria and the Gulf. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, is based in Kano with matters nationwide, and advises in English with a working knowledge of Arabic.
