Profile

Ranjith Kumar Kalyanapu is ARM Management's Partner for India, where he leads the firm's on-the-ground advisory and execution capability across the subcontinent. A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA Australia) and Registered Valuer under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) for Securities and Financial Assets, he brings over a decade of senior cross-border advisory experience to clients navigating one of the world's most complex — and most consequential — regulatory environments.

His practice sits at the intersection of Indian regulatory compliance and international capital flows — the point where execution risk is highest and where the gap between intention and outcome is widest. He holds the ICAI FEMA Certification, a specialist qualification in India's foreign exchange regulatory framework, and advises on company formation, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) structuring, international taxation, business valuations, and financial due diligence across inbound and outbound mandates.

Ranjith's cross-border mandates reflect the full range of India's global capital relationships. He has structured a 100% subsidiary of an Indian healthcare company in Kazakhstan, established a UAE entity under an Indian corporate holding structure, and advised on the incorporation of an Indian entity with inbound FDI from Singapore — transactions that required coordinating Indian company law, FEMA compliance and the regulatory frameworks of three separate jurisdictions simultaneously. Beyond the GCC and Central Asia, his international track record extends to the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Ivory Coast — a breadth that speaks to India's expanding role as both a source and a destination of global capital.

For clients seeking growth capital or a public market path in India, Ranjith brings a curated network of SEBI-registered Category I Merchant Bankers across five of India's principal financial centres, covering private equity funding and SME IPO mandates — a capability that extends ARM's India proposition well beyond pure advisory. His sector depth is concentrated in healthcare, precision manufacturing, transportation, electronics trading and professional services. He advises in Telugu, Hindi and English, and is based in Hyderabad.
