Thiago Rhein
Leads A.R.M. Management's South America practice from São Paulo — advising international clients on Brazilian market entry and Brazilian and regional principals on cross-border transactions, M&A structuring and risk management.

Profile
Thiago Rhein is A.R.M. Management's Partner for South America — a Brazilian corporate lawyer with more than twenty years of practice in business and cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, transaction structuring and risk management across multiple jurisdictions. He heads the corporate practice of a São Paulo law firm, focusing on corporate governance, compliance and strategic transactions.
His recognition is on the public record: named among the most admired lawyers by Análise Advocacia (2026) and recognised by Leaders League for Corporate/M&A work in consecutive editions (2024 and 2025) — rankings earned in one of the world's most competitive legal markets.
Earlier in his career, he served as legal counsel to a British-controlled Canadian agribusiness group, where he led the legal department and implemented global compliance and corporate governance policies — in-house experience that shapes how he advises: from the owner's seat, not the adviser's distance. He spent seven years as a name partner of his own São Paulo practice before returning to head corporate departments at established firms.
He holds a specialisation in Corporate Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and an executive M&A qualification from Insper, alongside his law degree. At ARM, he anchors the firm's Latin America proposition — the counterpart, on the western corridor, to the firm's GCC, Europe and Asia desks — advising on Brazilian company formation, FDI structuring, and the governance and compliance architecture that cross-border capital requires. He is based in São Paulo.
