Israel reopens voluntary disclosure with a crypto fast track
The Israel Tax Authority, with the Attorney General's approval, opened a voluntary disclosure procedure running until 31 August 2026 that offers immunity from criminal proceedings to taxpayers who correct their reports and pay the tax due. A 'green track' expedites smaller cases, including digital-asset income up to NIS 500,000 where total digital assets held on 31 December 2024 do not exceed NIS 1.5m. The procedure covers Israeli and foreign residents across income, VAT, customs and real-estate tax.
Implications for capital — Holders of previously undeclared crypto or offshore assets have a defined, time-limited channel to regularise them, closing on 31 August 2026.
